The name is what attracted me to this west coast ale. “Naughty Nellie” was my choice of beverage for the night. And it was very enjoyable.A clear, pale straw yellow coloured, with a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin lasting ring. Spots of lacing left behind.
This Seattle ale, brewed by Pike Brewing Company had a slight earthy aroma with a light fruit and faint spice smell. It was kind of bland in the nose with hints of apple, grass and citrus.
A medium bodied crisp hop bite up front that lingers over the sweeter notes and bready yeast into a slightly dry finish. Well balanced, refreshing and easy to drink.
